Think of when you are upset with someone and you need to "calm down" before talking with them. That is intentionally changing your "state of mind" for a purpose. It is the same thing when wanting to make a positive change, we must first change our state of mind for best results.
Not for one minute. You will ALWAYS be and feel in control. There is nothing anyone can make you do without your permission. Even during "stage" hypnosis, the audience are willing participants. You will remember all the words that are said and never go against your own nature. It's one of the laws of the mind.
It doesn't 'feel' like anything. It's as simple as closing your eyes and opening them again. It's totally natural and normal to relax and imagine. Some people report various feelings such as relaxation or sleepiness, but there is no one feeling that is hypnosis.
